First days in Barcelona

What was your first impression upon arriving in Barcelona? You mentioned on social media that it’s your favourite European City.
My first impression here was that it was good to be back. Exciting new start coming into a city I liked and a big time club with great expectation.

You mentioned that you were close to Barcelona in the past. What was different this time around that the deal got finalized?
In the past the NBA was my priority and there was no team in the world that I would have chosen over living out my dream and ultimate sports goal. This time just fit what I was looking for and what the team needed.

How important was it during the team selection process that you are reuniting with your former coach Svetislav Pesic?
It was important, playing for somebody I know and had success with is great, but he wasn’t here when we talked before so having him was an added bonus for the respect and interest I already had for the club.

During the weekend your team first beat Valencia to andvance to Supercopa Endesa Final and played against Real Madrid. How did it feel to be back on the pro court first time since February?
I haven’t played in a real game since early February and it felt like it. I’m slowly getting back to myself with the help of my teammates and it was good to get thrown into the fire playing vs two Euroleague / top ACB teams.

How did you enjoy your summer. Which things were you able to achieve on and off the court?
My summer was great but very busy. I purchased my first house and most of my summer revolved around getting that together. Also tryna to workout and balance other business ventures I’m involved in, but most importantly my 3rd annual camp became a full weekend activity and was very successful from year one of that. My summer was very productive for basketball and for life after basketball.

What do you think about your current squad, do you feel that Barca this season is capable of winning both ACB and Euroleague titles?
I think we have a talented team and once we get some time together and understand each other we can be very dangerous. This could be a special season.
